The University of Pennsylvania Journal of Business Law (JBL) invites submissions for its upcoming Spring 2026 symposium, tentatively titled Business Law in the Global Markets of Fashion & Luxury. This year’s symposium, scheduled for February 2026 (exact date to be announced soon), will explore key issues at the intersection of business and fashion law.
We are currently seeking papers for our panels on the following topics:
Corporate Structures and M&A in Fashion Houses
Antitrust & Distribution in Luxury Markets
Capital Raising and Financing Innovation (PE/VC) in Fashion & Luxury
Intellectual Property (Brand Value as Business Assets/Market Integrity)

Please express your interest in contributing by Monday, December 1st, 2025.
Please submit a brief abstract (up to 300 words) and a current CV.
Submissions may be sent via email to vlagana@penncareylaw.upenn.edu or through Scholastica.
Selected papers will be published in JBL’s Vol. 28 Issue 4, scheduled for release in Spring 2026. Should we accept your submission, your final article must conform to the requirements below.
Final Article Requirements:
Articles should be between 15,000 and 30,000 words, including footnotes, and must conform to Bluebook citation style.
Initial drafts are due by Tuesday, February 3rd, 2026.
Final drafts are due by Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026.
The symposium will feature four panels and a keynote address, and will be held in person at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School in Philadelphia.
