The University of Cincinnati Law Review will be honoring the late Victor Schwartz in Issue 4 of the 94th Edition of the University of Cincinnati Law Review. Following his graduation from Columbia Law School and a clerkship in the Southern District of New York, Victor Schwartz joined the University of Cincinnati College of Law as a professor in 1968. He quickly rose to prominence in the field of torts, coauthoring the leading casebook Prosser, Wade, and Schwartz on Torts. His influential work on comparative negligence helped pave the way for its widespread adoption across the United States, establishing him as one of the giants of tort law. Victor served as Dean of the College of Law in 1974 and remained deeply connected to the College thereafter.

In dedication to his memory, we are requesting manuscripts within the general topic of torts law. Issue 4 will begin the editing process on January 30, 2026, and will be published on May 8, 2026.

Interested authors can submit their manuscripts directly to zentmn@mail.uc.edu.
