The New York International Law Review (NYILR) invites authors to submit Articles for consideration for publication in our Spring edition, Volume 39, Issue No. 1.
NYILR is a publication of the International Section of the New York State Bar Association. Each year, the student editorial board prepares two issues for publication including articles on topics focused on current issues of international concern, such as human rights, trade, immigration, environmental law, etc.
Submission Guidelines The New York International Law Review strongly prefers articles under 25,000 words in length (the equivalent of 50 law review pages) including text and footnotes. Please note that an article in excess of 30,000 words (the equivalent of 60 law review pages) will weigh significantly against selection.
Final submissions should be in Word format, 12 point and Times New Roman font, and double spaced. Please use footnotes rather than endnotes. Footnotes should conform to the 22nd edition of The Bluebook.
Those interested in submitting an article for consideration should submit a manuscript and curriculum vitae through Scholastica, or here. Submissions will be considered on a rolling basis through February, 2026. If you should have any further questions about submitting to the New York International Law Review, please do not hesitate to reach out to the New York International Law Review's Student Editor-in-Chief, Eqra B. Muhammad, at eqra.muhammad.nyilr@gmail.com.
